Olde
Towne Art opened in the winter of 2006, in Olde Towne Portsmouth, Virginia,
a quaint little town where you
can walk down the street and still see shopkeepers
sweeping their sidewalks in the morning and welcome tourists like they were family.
The atmosphere at Olde Towne Art is always inviting and it’s not uncommon
to see artists gathered together for an impromptu still life or life drawing
session going on in the gallery’s classroom. The gallery boasts 23 professional
artist studio, which are galleries unto themselves.
As visitors walk through the gallery and studios, they are greeted
by art in all its forms: realistic, impressionistic, abstract, fantasy,
classical and figurative.
As a unique touch, the gallery always has watercolors set up for visiting children.
For those budding artists that feel a need to paint, draw or carve
wood, you will be able to find your muse here. There is a class for
